Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup ragi flour (finger millet flour)
- 1/4 cup flaxseed powder
- 40 grams of rice flour
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/4 cup grated carrots
- 2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
- 1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
- Water, as needed
- Oil for cooking
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the ragi flour, flaxseed powder, rice flour, chopped onions, grated carrots, coriander leaves, green chili (if using), cumin seeds, and salt. Thoroughly mix all the ingredients.
- Gradually add water to the mixture while stirring continuously, until you achieve a smooth and pourable batter consistency. Allow the batter to rest for about 10-15 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick or cast iron skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
- Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the center of the skillet and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin dosa.
- Drizzle a small amount of oil around the edges of the dosa and cook until the bottom turns golden brown and crisp.
- Flip the dosa using a spatula and cook the other side for a minute or two.
- Remove the dosa from the skillet and repeat the process with the remaining batter.
- Serve the ragi and flaxseeds dosa hot, accompanied by chutney or sambar.
